Went to South Boston a few years ago just to see what it was like. Asked this bloke who had just come out of a newsagents which way the main centre of the area was. Bulger was in the news at the time so his name was mentioned and he said one of his elder brothers was part of the gang when he was younger. This bloke pointed us in the direction of the beach area, he was fed up with Southie being thought of as a shithole.
